Data Sharing Statement
Home page notice
The information you enter on Ammen is shared with insurance companies so they can give you a quote. The prices and product details you see come directly from the insurers we have an agreement with.
What we share and why
When you ask for a quote, we send the details you enter to the insurers on our platform so that each one can calculate a price for you. We share only what an insurer needs to quote and, if you choose to buy, to issue your policy.
| Details we share | Why the insurer needs it |
|---|---|
| Full name and Qatar ID number | To identify you and issue the policy in your name |
| Mobile number and email address | To send your quote and policy documents and to contact you about your policy |
| Vehicle details: make, model, year, plate number, chassis number, vehicle photos | To calculate the premium |
| Driver details: date of birth, nationality, licence date, driver licence copy | To calculate the premium |
| Type of cover you asked for | To quote the right product |
Who we share it with
We share your details with the insurers listed on our platform. Each is licensed by Qatar Central Bank. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law or a regulator requires it.
What happens next
If you buy a policy, the insurer you choose issues it and becomes responsible for your information under its own privacy policy. The insurer tells us that a policy was issued so that we can keep our records.
What we do not keep
We pass your details to insurers electronically. We do not keep details of your insurance cover on our platform. We keep only your name, Qatar ID number, email address and mobile number, together with a record that a quote was requested or a policy was bought.
